Memory & dementia day program

A daytime program built around memory change.

Evergreen is a weekday daytime community for older adults, including many who are living with memory loss or cognitive change. Members arrive in the morning and go home in the evening.

We are a day program, not residential memory care. Everyone goes home at the end of the day.

01

What a memory-focused day can provide.

When memory changes, the day itself often becomes the hardest part. Unstructured hours are difficult to fill, conversation gets harder to start, and the world at home quietly gets smaller.

A day program answers that directly: a familiar place, a known rhythm, activities that are led rather than left to chance, and people to spend the day with. The person stays in their own home, and the week gets a shape again.

02

What the day includes.

Predictable structure

The same shape of day, in the same rooms, with the same faces. Familiar rhythm removes a great deal of the guesswork from a day.

Engagement that fits

Activities are led so that everyone can take part at their own level — nobody is quizzed, corrected or set up to fail.

Social connection

Conversation, music, games and shared projects. Being known by name is a large part of what a good day is made of.

Meals together

A chef-prepared lunch and snacks, eaten at a real table rather than on a tray.

Trained staff on site

Staff are present throughout the day and trained in memory and cognitive support, including quiet medication reminders.

Transportation

Optional door-to-door pick-up and drop-off within our service area, for an added fee.

03

Who tends to be a good fit.

  • Someone experiencing memory loss or cognitive change who still enjoys company and activity
  • Someone whose days at home have become unstructured or isolated
  • A family that wants dependable daytime support while their person stays at home
  • Someone who would benefit from routine, movement and conversation during the week

We do not assess, diagnose or make medical recommendations. What we can do is spend a day with your loved one and talk with you honestly about whether Evergreen suits them right now.

Evergreen does not provide skilled nursing, medical treatment, one-to-one supervision or overnight care. When those are needed, a different kind of support is the right one.

The best way to know is a day. Not a brochure.

Tour the studio while a day is underway, or arrange a complimentary day so we can see together how your loved one settles in.
